Seattle to Portland

Where do I start? I didn’t really have a plan for this post, but I know I need to write about it. My husband and I flew up to Seattle to visit my brother for his wedding this past week. Well, actually, the wedding was in Portland, but he lives in Seattle so we flew there first and then made the 3 hour drive to Portland on day three of our trip. I just LOVED this trip. I especially love Seattle. I love how no two homes look alike. They each have a unique look and personality. And, unlike Southern California, shops, bars, and restaurants are more or less incorporated into the different “neighborhoods.” For example, we walked from the house we were staying at to a pub just a few blocks away. California is mostly separated into track home areas and shopping areas…at least in my parts of town. Every little restaurant we went to in Seattle had some hipster trendy charm about it and I couldn’t get enough. I want to go back! It was also a big help that we had natives showing us around. Trav had never been to Seattle, so of course, we had to do the touristy thing and check out Pikes Market Place, the Gum wall, and the original Starbucks.

Portland was equally as charming and trendy! Countless dining options downtown, including a massive collection of food trucks! Again, every house is unique and charming. And the venue where the wedding was held was absolutely beautiful and trendy!!! So without further adieu, here’s a list of all the places we visited and some deets on outfits 😉
